#WalangPasok: Malacañang declares half day work on Oct. 31

Malacañang announces half-day government work for Thursday, October 31.
Work in government will be until 12 P.M.. only on Thursday (October 31, 2019), according to Executive Sec. Salvador Medialdea.

Pursuant to the Memorandum Circular No. 69 dated October 30, 2019 issued by Executive Secretary Salvador C. Medialdea, Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs, work for government employees will be suspended starting 12:00 noon tomorrow, October 31, 2019, to provide government employees full opportunity to observe All Saints Day, and to allow them to travel to and from the different regions in the country.

Here is the content of Memo Circular No 69 officially declaring half-day suspension of work for government employees on Thursday, October 31.


"To provide government employees full opportunity to properly observe All Saints' Day (01 November 2019), and to allow them to travel to and from the different regions in the country, work in government offices on 31 October 2019 is hereby suspended from 12:00 noon onwards."

"However, those agencies whose functions involve the delivery of basic and health services, preparedness/response to disasters and calamities, and/or the performance of other vital services shall continue with their operations and render necessary services."

"The suspension of classes in private schools and work in private companies and offices are left to the sound discretion of their respective heads or employers."

"This Circular shall take effect immediately." (LOOK: COPY OF MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR 69 s 2019)

The next day, November 1, is All Saints Day, when most Filipinos usually visit their dead is also a special non-working day.
