4-day school week in public schools

This 4-day school week program is not a new concept. The scheme has long been practiced in several private schools in the country.

PROPOSAL: School days are lengthened to deliver the same amount of instructional time over fewer days (4 days a week.)

FRIDAY: Teachers check and record output of learners, prepare DLL, DLP and Instructional Materials for next week.

ADVANTAGES

2. Decrease in absenteeism.
3. More planning and collaborative time for educators.
4. Teachers will NOT sacrifice personal time for work.
5. Teachers can prepare better teaching materials.
6. Less transportation and allowance cost for parents.
7. Less traffic.
8. Less electricity cost for schools.
