SUBJECT: REQUEST FOR AUTHORITY TO DOWNLOAD POOLED FY 2020 PERSONNEL SERVICES (PS) SAVINGS TO PAY THE 2020 SERVICE RECOGNITION INCENTIVE (SRI)

Pursuant to Memorandum No. OUF-2020-0742 dated December 28, 2020, Pooling of Available Personnel Services (PS) Allotments as Funding Source for the Grant of Service Recognition Incentive (SRI) to DepEd Employees for Fiscal Year 2020, copy attached, the amount of unobligated 2020 PS allotments pooled as funding source for the grant of the FY 2020 SRI to the 943,872 DepEd teaching and non-teaching employees who are eligible to receive the incentive has reached Five Billion Eight Hundred Forty Two Million Five Hundred Sixty Seven Thousand Six Hundred Eighty Pesos (PhP5,842,567,680,00). While Administrative Order No. 37 dated December 18, 2020 authorizes the grant of a one-time SRI at a uniform amount not exceeding Ten Thousand Pesos (PhP10,000.00) for each government employee for FY 2020, it also provides that should the identified funding sources prove to be insufficient to cover the full amount of the SRI at PhP10,000.00 per employee, a lower but uniform amount may be granted to all qualified employer of the Department.

Based on the pooled available FY 2020 unobligated allotment of PhP5,842,567,680.00, we will be able to grant a uniform amount of PhP6,190.00 per employee to our 943,872 teaching and non teaching employees qualifier.

With the foregoing, authority is hereby requested to download, thru the issuance of Sub Allotment Release Orders (Sub-AROs), to our respective Regional Offices their funding requirements to pay the P6,190.00 to each qualified employee, the regional allocation is shown in the accompanying Annex "A".
