GSIS Emergency Loan advisory and availment period
Attention to all active members and pensioners with old-age/disability status! If you are working or residing in the calamity-affected areas listed below, you're now eligible to apply for an Emergency Loan amounting to P20,000:
Ilocos Norte and Ilocos Sur Provinces August 7, 2023 - September 6, 2023
Bataan Province:

City of Malaybalay, Bukidnon and Municipality of Tukuran, Zamboanga Del Sur:

PAYMENT TERMS
The loan is repayable over a span of 3 years, in 36 equal monthly installments. Interest on the loan stands at 6%, computed in advance.

HOW TO APPLY: A STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE
1. Via eGSISMo
- Log into your eGSISMo account using your BP number and password.
- Select the "Loans Application" icon and choose "Emergency Loan", followed by the Loan Type (either "New" or "Renewal").
- Upload a photo of yourself holding either your UMID/Temporary CARD, or two valid government IDs if your UMID/Temporary CARD is lost (accepted formats: JPEG or PDF).
- Confirm the loan agreement and click "SAVE".
.- Await an email confirmation from GSIS for additional instructions.
2 Via Email
- Complete the Emergency Loan Application Form and prepare your GSIS UMID Card.
- Save the application form as a JPEG or PDF file and scan the UMID Card.
- Forward the documents to your respective GSIS handling branch (link to the list can be provided).
- Wait for an email confirmation from GSIS for the next steps.
3. Via GWAPS Kiosk
- Head to the closest GWAPS kiosk.
- Insert your eCard Plus/UMID into the G-W@PS kiosk card reader. Position your enrolled finger on the biometric scanner. Once recognized, your personal data will appear on screen.
- Select the "Loan Windows" icon and click on "Emergency Loan".
- Confirm your loan application by placing your finger on the biometric scanner again.
- Upon approval, loan proceeds can be withdrawn from any Megalink, Bancnet, or Expressnet ATM nationwide.
4. Via GSIS Touch app
The Emergency Loan is 0ffered to members who are adversely affected by calamities. The loan is payable in three years or 36 equal monthly installments at an interest rate of six percent per annum. If renewed, the balance of the outstanding loan will be deducted from the proceeds of the new loan.
Eligibility
To qualify for the emergency loan, the member-applicant must be:
- a bona fide resident or employee of the government office within the declared calamity area;
- be in active service and not on leave of absence without pay;
- has no arrearages in the payment of mandatory social insurance contributions; and
- has no loan that has been declared in default.
A calamity-hit area must be declared under a state of calamity by the Sangguniang Panlalawigan/Panglungsod and/or the National Disaster Reduction Risk Management Council.
